Serious lack of knowledge of off stump on Trescothick's part. Great bowling by Shoaib. Two quick deliveries going straight on, outside the off stump. Then the third, slightly slower, 86mph, and late swing into the batter, hitting top of off-and-middle. Brilliant stuff and just keeps the game open for a while. Let's hope we do get a result

Nice commentary piece betn Ian Chappell n Whisperin Death on Day 1 pre-lunch at Adelaide:
The context of conversation was Sarwan gettin out hookin to Lee. Chappell pointed out tht Sarwan was not usin the crease properly n thr was still some 2 - 2 1/2 ft of crease left for Sarwan to make use of. Chappell was sayin tht if Sarwan could have used the depth of the crease then he would get tht fraction bit of more time to see the ball n play his shot. The ensuing conversation went like this:
I.C.: Use the crease properly. Don't give these ROTTEN fast bowlers any more advantage then they already have. (obviously tryin to rile him up)
M.H.: (silence... silent.. silent.. still silent.)
I.C.: (gettin no response from Holding)Obviously Mikey u would disagree.
M.H.: No not at all, except for the adjective to describe us poor fast bowlers.
It was very funny with the accent of Holding, n the dead pan style of Chappell.

BTW awesome ball by Shoaib to get rid of Tresco.. full chu**** banaya.
but even better was the wicket of Michael Vaughan bowled in the first inns by Rana Naveed. seriously quick, huge inswinging yorker. michael vaughan was 2 days late into the shot.
But the shot of the test match was Kevin Pieterson hookin a mean fast ball from a steamin Shoaib over the fine leg boundary to bring up his 100. what a shot. But the next delivery was not such smart cricket from Pietersen. Shoaib again bowled him a short one, outside off, KP in josh tried to pull him again, only to sky it up to mid-on.
